All Ladakh Tour Operators Association confirmed that Stok Kangri is allowed to visit this place for trekking and climbing in 2023.

2. Aksai Chin, Ladakh

Aksai Chin is nothing less than a paradise for adventure lovers. But at present, there is a ban on going here. Controversies surround this lake. The Indians say it is part of the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. Whereas in reality, it is a part of LAC. This place of the earth is a cold desert, which is still waiting for tourists to come.

3. Mount Kanchenjunga, Sikkim

Many climbers in India dream of climbing Mount Kangchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. But going here is now prohibited due to religious reasons. The Government of Sikkim banned expeditions to Kangchenjunga in 2001 under the provisions of the Places of Worship Act, of 1991. It is believed that God resides on the top of the mountain and people defile it by climbing there. So it has been closed for two decades.

One of the highest lakes in the world, Cholamu Lake is still closed to tourists. It is also known as Tso Lhamo Lake. It is located a few kilometers from the Tibet border. Here only the army and Sikkim police or administration have been allowed to go to Cholamu lake.
