3. Mount Kanchenjunga, Sikkim

Many climbers in India dream of climbing Mount Kangchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. But going here is now prohibited due to religious reasons. The Government of Sikkim banned expeditions to Kangchenjunga in 2001 under the provisions of the Places of Worship Act, of 1991.
